Independent studio.
Documentary instinct.
Inparticular is an independent film studio based in California. Built on over a decade of experience in commercial production, our work spans documentaries, brand films, and editorial storytelling, with a particular interest in the people behind the subject.
From the first conversation.
We work with independent businesses, established brands, and people with a story to tell. Some projects arrive with a brief; others begin with a subject or a question.
Together, we develop the idea, plan the production, and carry the film through shooting and editing. We also develop original documentaries and explore partnerships with brands connected to their subjects.
Our portfolio includes work created through Inparticular and previous commissions directed by our co-founder.
Start with what’s there.
A conversation, a daily routine, the way someone works. We pay attention to the details that reveal a person’s perspective, then build a story around what we find.
Our approach combines documentary observation with the direction and craft needed to shape a finished film.
