The Tudor House

At the Tudor House, history and legend are hard to separate. Our short film follows owner John Connor through the Lake Arrowhead, CA landmark, using its Prohibition-era stories and rumored hauntings to explore what might still linger within its walls.

Some stories never leave a place.

The story

Built in 1928, the Tudor House has lived several lives. Once a Prohibition-era gathering place, it carries stories of speakeasies, Hollywood visitors, secret passages, and rumored hauntings. Today, it welcomes people back for food, music, and a night out.

Our film steps into the space between its history and its legends, asking what it means for a place to be haunted by its past.

Our approach

We filmed the Tudor House as though it had a memory of its own. Inventive camera techniques, layered footage, and voiceover turn familiar rooms into something a little less certain. Current owner John Connor appears throughout, grounding the film in the place as it exists today while its older stories flicker at the edges.
